every few years, i get the itching to restart my blog and tell the masses that i’ve created a new series. well, that time has come again LOL. i’m basing this one off my reels that i do for queenie & pearl every week. simple style hacks/inspiration/ideas. the first, just in time for spring: denim cutoffs.

if the last few years of pandemic life have done anything - it’s got us yearning for our past and the “good ole days.” so it’s only natural that those feelings of nostalgia translate into our clothes - enter in Y2K/90’s style. make your denim shorts a tribute to better times with this fail-proof recipe:
bold print + crinkle top: only button the top few buttons to bare some skin to achieve that full-on 90s girl lewk
skinny sunnies with fun colored tints (think oval or soft rectangular frames and rose-colored lens)

there’s one street style icon whose looks i think we all collectively pine over — and i’m pretty sure it’s the biebz, as in hailey (sorry justin)! she singlehandedly created today’s coolgirl uniform: boxy blazer, baggy/loose jeans (bye bye high waisted + suffocating skinnies) paired almost exclusively with a pair of nike dunk lows + baseball cap. the best part, it’s so easy to emulate with things you probably already have in your closet. my version includes denim shorts instead of baggy jeans but has the same effect:

can’t afford the coveted dunk low’s in the black/white color way but these weejuns are a great replacement
