tee: inclusivi-tee (design by ray caron)
Usually I'm one to jump right into Christmas as soon as Halloween wraps up, but this year I wanted to slow it down a bit and really get into the spirit of giving thanks -- especially since I have a lot to be thankful for this year (big baby Rowan). Which brings me to Inclusivi-tee, founded by Twin Cities psychiatrist Lori Myren-Manbeck, a quarterly subscription-based t-shirt club pledging to promote equality, conservation and social justice through the sale of wearable art. Inclusivi-tee selects artists from across the United States to create shirts made from 100 percent recycled materials with designs focused around themes of progress, inclusivity, diversity, social and earth justice. The Mpls start-up donates 100 percent of profits to a variety of progressive local and national nonprofits including Planned Parenthood, the National LGBTQ Taskforce, the Natural Resource Defense Council and more.
This quarter, their profits will be donated to House of Charity and and in conjunction with that, Inclusivi-tee will be hosting a fundraiser that happens November 18, 2017 at Famous Dave's in uptown from 3:30 - 7:30 PM, there will be music, a silent auction, and a raffle. Recommended donation for entrance, which comes with a raffle ticket, is $10 ahead of time, $12 at the door.
