#FWMN is upon us and has gotten a total makeover, thanks to the collaboration of Sarah Edwards & Jahna Peloquin. I'm excited about all the cool events and shows taking place, but the following are my must-see's:
Silhouette - though not officially a part of FWMN, I'm considering this an official pre-pre-party. Hosted by friend and fellow blogger, Lindsey Herzog of RubyGirl blog, Silhouette will feature designers Christopher Straub, Caroline Hayden (my personal favorite) and newcomer, Tess Ross. The show will benefit Hopeworks' humanitarian efforts in Haiti through community involvement and sustainability strategies. Happens tomorrow at Calhoun Beachclub @ 7 PM - you can still purchase tickets here.
I AM Inspired - the official kick-off show of FWMN, is something I am personally involved in - so with that being said, YOU MUST GO :) To continue on with the I AM brand from brainchild, Sarah Edwards, I AM Inspired will not be a conventional fashion show, but instead a fashion presentation infused with artwork by Justin Sehorn. Looks will be styled by myself and feature local boutiques: Arrow, D.Nolo, Bumbershute & Semblance. The event happens this Sunday at Burnet Gallery inside swanky hotel, Le Meridien. Buy your tickets here - hope to see you there!
FWMN Homme - another show co-produced by Sarah Edwards alongside Connie Mrotek, Homme is an all men's fashion show featuring looks from boutiques such as MartinPatrick3, Arrow, Atmosfere - among others. The showcase will also include local brands Near North, Duluth Pack, Sota Clothing and more. As a huge fan of men's fashion, of course I had to be there. And I mean, any excuse to wear my HOMME not Homie shirt :) It happens next Wednesday, purchase tickets here.
